Embrace – Inclusive Education & Clinical Consultancy

Who are we?

Embrace is our outward-facing, Inclusive Education & Clinical Consultancy, delivered by West Kirby Educational Trust.  We are a team of highly experienced educational and clinical practitioners who continue to work within school settings. This enables us to fully understand the pressures and demands faced by school leaders and their staff.

We are committed to facilitating best practice for inclusion, embracing strategies with impact and sharing resources developed by our highly specialised education and clinical staff team.

What do we do?

Working in partnership with schools, we consult with leaders to review current inclusive provision and provide comprehensive strengths-based feedback, including strategic and practical guidance to develop best practice. Embrace also provides a range of consultancy services and resources to support effective implementation and ongoing development.

Inclusion Reviews

Our Inclusion Reviews provide schools with a review of their current inclusive provision. These are focussed and individualised, highlight strengths and feedback suggest actions and resources to improve practice.

Our Inclusion Review framework

Inclusion Reviews follow our carefully crafted framework formulated from evidence-based research and practical experience:

Our principles of Inclusion:

How do we do it?

Following initial consultation with schools to determine an agreed timeframe, we use the following activities to build a holistic picture of what it feels like to be a child at your school, how the vision from leadership cascades into the classroom and determine if policy translates into practice all through the lens of inclusion.

What can you expect?

  • High quality feedback at every step of the Inclusion Review, with opportunities for discussion on strategies and suggestions throughout the visit.
  • A clear, detailed report covering each area of the framework that indicates areas of strength, suggested actions, provides evidence of the school’s commitment to inclusion and promoting Ofsted readiness.
  • An invitation to join our continually expanding Inclusion Hub which aims to develop a network of schools passionate about improving inclusion and sharing good practice.
  • Access to the West Kirby Educational Trust free webinars developed and delivered by experienced Education, SEND and Clinical practitioners.
  • Signposting to free, relevant training and resources.
