Welcome

West Kirby Educational Trust are delighted to be able to invite you to our first free Inclusion Event for education professionals. The event will be hosted by West Kirby School and College on Wednesday 29th April 2026, 9.30am-3pm.

Expect a day of speakers, panel Q&A, networking & discussion, with practical advice & resources. Delivered by Embrace: Inclusive Education & Clinical Consultancy, part of West Kirby Educational Trust. 

With a mix of presentations, networking opportunities and discussion the day aims to support professionals in developing inclusive practice in their own setting. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

"Beyond the Labels: Everyday inclusion for real-life children (and families): Moving past diagnosis and paperwork to what actually works in real classrooms—stories from the trenches and practical tips for busy staff."

Jo Dooley (WKS Teacher. Founder of Peninsula Tourettes Support Group & lay advisor for Tourettes, National Institute of Clinical Excellence)

"Understanding & supporting students with Tourettes syndrome & other tic related disorders."

Jess Lambert (Speech & Language Therapist, West Kirby Educational Trust)

"Supporting language in the classroom: practical advice and strategies from a specialist speech and language therapist to create truly inclusive classrooms."

Additional information

Parking: Please note as this exciting event is taking place on a school day on site parking is not available, however there is some parking in nearby roads, or West Kirby Concourse Leisure Centre car park (5 mins walk) which is reasonably priced. The school is accessible by train and major bus routes.
